Jabir bin Abdullah and Salama bin Akwa reported,

The herald of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us and announced, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has permitted you to engage in mutah," meaning temporary marriage with women.

و حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن عمرو بن دينار قال سمعت الحسن بن محمد يحدث

عن جابر بن عبد الله وسلمة بن الأكوع قالا

خرج علينا منادي رسول الله ﷺ فقال إن رسول الله ﷺ قد أذن لكم أن تستمتعوا يعني متعة النساء
