The Prophet ﷺ said, "A prayer in this mosque of mine is better than a thousand prayers in any other, except for the Sacred Mosque."
Muslim narrated the hadith of Ubaydullah and Musa Juhani, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, "Prayer in my mosque." Mamar followed him on this, narrating from Ayub, from Nafi, but this is not preserved from Ayub. Ibn Jurayj and Layth differed from them, narrating it from Nafi, from Ibrahim bin Abdullah bin Mabad, from Maymuna. Muslim included both versions, while Bukhari did not include it at all from the narration of Nafi.
I say, the hadith of Nafi from Ibn Umar appears sound, for it was narrated from Nafi by Ubaydullah bin Umar, Musa Juhani, and Ayub, as mentioned earlier and as found in Muslim. Ata bin Abu Rabah also corroborated Nafi's narration from Ibn Umar, as found in Ahmad, volume 2, page 29. It appears that both this narration and the narration of Nafi from Ibrahim bin Abdullah from Maymuna are sahih, as Bukhari stated. And Allah knows best.
