We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the expedition of Tabuk. He recounted the lengthy hadith, in which he said, "Then we proceeded until we reached Wadi al-Qura, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'I am going to hurry on. Whoever among you wishes may hurry with me, and whoever wishes may stay behind.' So we set out until we came in sight of Madinah, and he said, 'This is Tabah, and this is Uhud, a mountain that loves us and that we love.'"
حدثنا عبد الله بن مسلمة القعنبي حدثنا سليمان بن بلال عن عمرو بن يحيى عن عباس بن سهل الساعدي
خرجنا مع رسول الله ﷺ في غزوة تبوك وساق الحديث وفيه ثم أقبلنا حتى قدمنا وادي القرى فقال رسول الله ﷺ إني مسرع فمن شاء منكم فليسرع معي ومن شاء فليمكث فخرجنا حتى أشرفنا على المدينة فقال هذه طابة وهذا أحد وهو جبل يحبنا ونحبه
