I asked Anas bin Malik, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ declare Madinah a sanctuary?"He replied, "Yes, the area between such-and-such and such-and-such. Whoever introduces an innovation in it..." Then he said to me, "This is severe. Whoever introduces an innovation in it, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people. Allah will not accept from him on the Day of Resurrection any obligatory or voluntary act of worship."The son of Anas added, "Or shelters an innovator."
و حدثناه حامد بن عمر حدثنا عبد الواحد حدثنا
قلت لأنس بن مالك أحرم رسول الله ﷺ المدينة قال نعم ما بين كذا إلى كذا فمن أحدث فيها حدثا قال ثم قال لي هذه شديدة من أحدث فيها حدثا فعليه لعنة الله والملائكة والناس أجمعين لا يقبل الله منه يوم القيامة صرفا ولا عدلا قال فقال ابن أنس أو آوى محدثا
