The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to us while we were at Mina, "Tomorrow we will camp at the valley of Banu Kinanah, where they swore an oath upon disbelief." This was because Quraysh and Banu Kinanah had pledged together against Banu Hashim and Banu Muttalib not to intermarry with them nor trade with them until they handed over the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. By this he meant Muhassab.

قال لنا رسول الله ﷺ ونحن بمنى نحن نازلون غدا بخيف بني كنانة حيث تقاسموا على الكفر وذلك إن قريشا وبني كنانة تحالفت على بني هاشم وبني المطلب أن لا يناكحوهم ولا يبايعوهم حتى يسلموا إليهم رسول الله ﷺ يعني بذلك المحصب
