I was with Jabir bin Abdullah when someone came to him and said, "Ibn Abbas and Ibn Zubayr have differed regarding the two forms of mutah."Jabir replied, "We used to practice them both during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then Umar forbade us from them, so we never returned to them."

كنت عند جابر بن عبد الله فأتاه آت فقال إن ابن عباس وابن الزبير اختلفا في المتعتين فقال جابر فعلناهما مع رسول الله ﷺ ثم نهانا عنهما عمر فلم نعد لهما
