The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the noon prayer at Dhul Hulayfah, then he called for his she-camel and marked her by making an incision on the right side of her hump, wiped away the blood, and hung two sandals around her neck as a garland. Then he mounted his riding camel, and when she rose with him onto the open plain of Bayda, he entered the state of ihram for Hajj.
