He related this same account but mentioned the Prophet ﷺ only at the beginning of the report, when it was said to him, "They will block you from reaching the House." He replied, "In that case, I will do as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did." He did not mention at the end of the report the phrase, "This is how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did it," as Layth had mentioned.
حدثنا أبو الربيع الزهراني وأبو كامل قالا حدثنا حماد ح و حدثني زهير بن حرب حدثني إسمعيل كلاهما عن أيوب عن نافع
بهذه القصة ولم يذكر النبي ﷺ إلا في أول الحديث حين قيل له يصدوك عن البيت قال إذن أفعل كما فعل رسول الله ﷺ ولم يذكر في آخر الحديث هكذا فعل رسول الله ﷺ كما ذكره الليث
