Imran bin Husayn said to me, "Let me tell you a hadith from which Allah may grant you benefit. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ combined hajj and umrah, and he did not forbid this until he died, nor did any verse of the Quran come down forbidding it. The angels used to greet me with peace until I was cauterized, and then that ceased. When I gave up cauterization, it returned."
و حدثني عبيد الله بن معاذ حدثنا أبي حدثنا شعبة عن حميد بن هلال
قال لي عمران بن حصين أحدثك حديثا عسى الله أن ينفعك به إن رسول الله ﷺ جمع بين حجة وعمرة ثم لم ينه عنه حتى مات ولم ينزل فيه قرآن يحرمه وقد كان يسلم علي حتى اكتويت فتركت ثم تركت الكي فعاد
