Uthman used to forbid combining umrah with hajj, while Ali used to instruct people to do it. Uthman said something to Ali,then Ali said, "You know very well that we performed umrah together with hajj in the company of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."Uthman replied, "Yes, but at that time we were in fear."
