They set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while they were in a state of ihram, but Abu Qatada was not in ihram. He went on to relate the hadith, in which it is mentioned that the Prophet ﷺ asked, "Do you have any of it left with you?"They replied, "We have its leg."So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took it and ate from it.
