The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He is not one of us who strikes his cheeks, tears his garments, or calls out with the cry of the days of ignorance."This is the wording of Yahya. As for Ibn Numayr and Abu Bakr, they said "and tears" and "and calls out" without the alif.
حدثنا يحيى بن يحيى أخبرنا أبو معاوية ح و حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا أبو معاوية ووكيع ح و حدثنا ابن نمير حدثنا أبي جميعا عن الأعمش عن عبد الله بن مرة عن مسروق
قال رسول الله ﷺ ليس منا من ضرب الخدود أو شق الجيوب أو دعا بدعوى الجاهلية هذا حديث يحيى وأما ابن نمير وأبو بكر فقالا وشق ودعا بغير ألف
