The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never fasted an entire month in full except Ramadan. When he fasted, he would continue fasting until one would say, "By Allah, he will not break his fast." And when he abstained from fasting, he would continue until one would say, "By Allah, he will not fast."

ما صام رسول الله ﷺ شهرا كاملا قط غير رمضان وكان يصوم إذا صام حتى يقول القائل لا والله لا يفطر ويفطر إذا أفطر حتى يقول القائل لا والله لا يصوم
