With this chain of narration, but at the beginning of the hadith he did not mention, "And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to fast it." At the end of the hadith he said, "And he abandoned Ashura, so whoever wished could fast it and whoever wished could leave it." He did not attribute this as a statement of the Prophet ﷺ, unlike the narration of Jareer.
و حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة وأبو كريب قالا حدثنا ابن نمير
بهذا الإسناد ولم يذكر في أول الحديث وكان رسول الله ﷺ يصومه وقال في آخر الحديث وترك عاشوراء فمن شاء صامه ومن شاء تركه ولم يجعله من قول النبي ﷺ كرواية جرير
