The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Among the major sins is a man cursing his own parents."The companions asked, "Messenger of Allah, would a man actually curse his own parents?"He replied, "Yes. He insults another man's father, and that man then insults his father in return. He insults another man's mother, and that man then insults his mother in return."

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال من الكبائر شتم الرجل والديه قالوا يا رسول الله وهل يشتم الرجل والديه قال نعم يسب أبا الرجل فيسب أباه ويسب أمه فيسب أمه
