Abu Saeed Khudri reported,

We used to go on military expeditions with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during Ramadan. Some of us fasted and others did not. Neither did the one fasting find fault with the one not fasting, nor did the one not fasting find fault with the one fasting. They held that whoever found the strength to fast did well, and whoever felt weak and broke his fast also did well.

حدثني عمرو الناقد حدثنا إسمعيل بن إبراهيم عن الجريري عن أبي نضرة

عن أبي سعيد الخدري رضي الله عنه قال

كنا نغزو مع رسول الله ﷺ في رمضان فمنا الصائم ومنا المفطر فلا يجد الصائم على المفطر ولا المفطر على الصائم يرون أن من وجد قوة فصام فإن ذلك حسن ويرون أن من وجد ضعفا فأفطر فإن ذلك حسن
