Abdullah bin Masud reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Let none of you be kept from his pre-dawn meal by Bilal's call to prayer, for he calls out while it is still night so that the one praying among you may return and the one sleeping may wake up."Then he said, "It is not that the dawn comes like this," and he lowered his hand and raised it, "but rather it comes like this," and he spread his two fingers apart.
