The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave Abu Sufyan bin Harb, Safwan bin Umaya, Uyayna bin Hisn, and Aqra bin Habis one hundred camels each, but he gave Abbas bin Mirdas less than that.So Abbas bin Mirdas said, "Do you place my share and the share of Ubayd between Uyayna and Aqra? Neither Badr nor Habis surpassed Mirdas in any gathering, and I am no less than either of them, and whomever you lower today shall not be raised."So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ completed his share to one hundred.
حدثنا محمد بن أبي عمر المكي حدثنا سفيان عن عمر بن سعيد بن مسروق عن أبيه عن عباية بن رفاعة
أعطى رسول الله ﷺ أبا سفيان بن حرب وصفوان بن أمية وعيينة بن حصن والأقرع بن حابس كل إنسان منهم مائة من الإبل وأعطى عباس بن مرداس دون ذلك فقال عباس بن مرداس أتجعل نهبي ونهب العبيد بين عيينة والأقرع فما كان بدر ولا حابس يفوقان مرداس في المجمع وما كنت دون امرئ منهما ومن تخفض اليوم لا يرفع قال فأتم له رسول الله ﷺ مائة
