A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked, "Messenger of Allah, which charity is the greatest in reward?"He replied, "That you give charity while you are healthy and tight-fisted, fearing poverty and hoping for wealth. Do not delay until your soul reaches your throat, then say, 'For so-and-so this much, and for so-and-so that much,' when it has already become the property of so-and-so."
