The Prophet ﷺ said. Amr added that Sufyan bin Uyayna also narrated to us, saying that Ibn Jurayj reported from al-Hasan bin Muslim, from Tawus, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "The example of the one who spends in charity and the miser is like that of a man wearing two coats of mail, or two shields, stretching from their breasts to their collarbones. When the one who spends," and the other narrator said, "when the one who gives charity wishes to give charity, the coat expands over him," or, "flows freely upon him. But when the miser wishes to spend, it contracts upon him, each ring sticking to its place, until it covers his fingertips and obliterates his footprints."Abu Hurairah said, "He tries to widen it, but it will not widen."
حدثنا عمرو الناقد حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج
عن النبي ﷺ قال عمرو وحدثنا سفيان بن عيينة قال وقال ابن جريج عن الحسن بن مسلم عن طاوس عن أبي هريرة عن النبي ﷺ قال مثل المنفق والمتصدق كمثل رجل عليه جبتان أو جنتان من لدن ثديهما إلى تراقيهما فإذا أراد المنفق وقال الآخر فإذا أراد المتصدق أن يتصدق سبغت عليه أو مرت وإذا أراد البخيل أن ينفق قلصت عليه وأخذت كل حلقة موضعها حتى تجن بنانه وتعفو أثره قال فقال أبو هريرة فقال يوسعها فلا تتسع
