When Saad bin Abu Waqqas died, Ayesha said, "Bring him into the mosque so that I may pray over him." People objected to this, so she said, "By Allah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed over the two sons of Bayda in the mosque, Suhayl and his brother."Muslim said, Suhayl bin Daad was the son of Bayda, his mother being Bayda.
و حدثني هارون بن عبد الله ومحمد بن رافع واللفظ لابن رافع قالا حدثنا ابن أبي فديك أخبرنا الضحاك يعني ابن عثمان عن أبي النضر
أن عائشة لما توفي سعد بن أبي وقاص قالت ادخلوا به المسجد حتى أصلي عليه فأنكر ذلك عليها فقالت والله لقد صلى رسول الله ﷺ على ابني بيضاء في المسجد سهيل وأخيه قال مسلم سهيل بن دعد وهو ابن البيضاء أمه بيضاء
He also reported the hadith of Dahhak bin Uthman, from Abu Nadr, from Abu Salama, from Ayesha, that the Prophet prayed over Sahl bin Bayda and his brother in the masjid.Abu Hasan said that two reliable and precise memorizers, Malik and Majishun, differed from him, reporting it from Abu Nadr, from Ayesha, as a mursal narration. It was also said to be reported from Dahhak, from Abu Nadr, from Abu Bakr bin Abdul-Rahman, but this is not correct, nor is the mention of Abu Salama.
I say, the correct view is what Daraqutni, may Allah have mercy on him, stated regarding the discontinuity of the chain, since Dahhak bin Uthman, of whom the Hafiz said in Taqrib, "truthful but prone to error," contradicted Abdul-Aziz bin Majishun and Malik, and these two are more reliable both in description and in number, so his narration is considered shadhdh (anomalous).
