The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the funeral prayer over Ibn Dahdah. Then an unsaddled horse was brought, and a man hobbled it for him so he could mount. He rode it, and it began to amble along while we followed, running behind him.A man from the group said that the Prophet ﷺ had said, "How many clusters of dates hang suspended in Paradise for Ibn Dahdah!" Or Shuba said, "for Abu Dahdah."
و حدثنا محمد بن المثنى ومحمد بن بشار واللفظ لابن المثنى قالا حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن سماك بن حرب
صلى رسول الله ﷺ على ابن الدحداح ثم أتي بفرس عري فعقله رجل فركبه فجعل يتوقص به ونحن نتبعه نسعى خلفه قال فقال رجل من القوم إن النبي ﷺ قال كم من عذق معلق أو مدلى في الجنة لابن الدحداح أو قال شعبة لأبي الدحداح
