He used to relate that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ once passed by a funeral procession and said, "One who finds rest and one from whom others find rest."They asked, "Messenger of Allah, who is the one who finds rest and the one from whom others find rest?"He replied, "The believing servant finds rest from the toils of this world, while from the wicked servant the people, the lands, the trees, and the animals find rest."
و حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد عن مالك بن أنس فيما قرئ عليه عن محمد بن عمرو بن حلحلة عن معبد بن كعب بن مالك
أنه كان يحدث أن رسول الله ﷺ مر عليه بجنازة فقال مستريح ومستراح منه قالوا يا رسول الله ما المستريح والمستراح منه فقال العبد المؤمن يستريح من نصب الدنيا والعبد الفاجر يستريح منه العباد والبلاد والشجر والدواب
