The Prophet of Allah ﷺ would not raise his hands in any of his supplications except during the prayer for rain, raising them so high that the whiteness of his armpits could be seen. However, Abdul-Ala said, "the whiteness of his armpit, or the whiteness of his armpits."

أن نبي الله ﷺ كان لا يرفع يديه في شيء من دعائه إلا في الاستسقاء حتى يرى بياض إبطيه غير أن عبد الأعلى قال يرى بياض إبطه أو بياض إبطيه
