I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey when we reached a watering place.He said, "Won't you go down to drink, Jabir?"I replied, "Yes."So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ dismounted, and I went down to the water. Then he went off to relieve himself, and I prepared water for his ablution. He came back, performed the ablution, then stood and prayed in a single garment, crossing its two ends over his shoulders. I stood behind him, but he took hold of my ear and placed me on his right side.

كنت مع رسول الله ﷺ في سفر فانتهينا إلى مشرعة فقال ألا تشرع يا جابر قلت بلى قال فنزل رسول الله ﷺ وأشرعت قال ثم ذهب لحاجته ووضعت له وضوءا قال فجاء فتوضأ ثم قام فصلى في ثوب واحد خالف بين طرفيه فقمت خلفه فأخذ بأذني فجعلني عن يمينه
