Anas bin Malik reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ invoked curses for thirty mornings against those who killed the companions at the Well of Maunah. He invoked curses against Ril, Zakwan, Lihyan, and Usayyah, who had disobeyed Allah and His Messenger.Anas said, "Allah revealed concerning those who were killed at the Well of Maunah a passage of Quran which we used to recite until it was abrogated. It read, 'Inform our people that we have met our Lord, and He is pleased with us and we are pleased with Him.'"

و حدثنا يحيى بن يحيى قال قرأت على مالك عن إسحق بن عبد الله بن أبي طلحة

عن أنس بن مالك قال

دعا رسول الله ﷺ على الذين قتلوا أصحاب بئر معونة ثلاثين صباحا يدعو على رعل وذكوان ولحيان وعصية عصت الله ورسوله قال أنس أنزل الله عز وجل في الذين قتلوا ببئر معونة قرآنا قرأناه حتى نسخ بعد أن بلغوا قومنا أن قد لقينا ربنا فرضي عنا ورضينا عنه
