The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to delay the evening prayer until a third of the night had passed, and he disliked sleeping before it or talking after it. In the dawn prayer he would recite between sixty and a hundred verses, and he would finish the prayer at the moment we could just recognize one another's faces.
