While we were praying with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he heard a commotion and asked, "What is the matter with you?"They replied, "We were hurrying to the prayer."He said, "Do not do that. When you come to the prayer, you must be calm. Pray whatever you catch with the congregation, and complete whatever you missed."
حدثني إسحق بن منصور أخبرنا محمد بن المبارك الصوري حدثنا معاوية بن سلام عن يحيى بن أبي كثير أخبرني
بينما نحن نصلي مع رسول الله ﷺ فسمع جلبة فقال ما شأنكم قالوا استعجلنا إلى الصلاة قال فلا تفعلوا إذا أتيتم الصلاة فعليكم السكينة فما أدركتم فصلوا وما سبقكم فأتموا
