The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would sometimes recite the Quran, and when he came across a verse of prostration, he would prostrate and we would prostrate with him, crowding around him so closely that some of us could not find a spot to place his forehead. This was outside of formal prayer.
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا محمد بن بشر حدثنا عبيد الله بن عمر عن نافع
ربما قرأ رسول الله ﷺ القرآن فيمر بالسجدة فيسجد بنا حتى ازدحمنا عنده حتى ما يجد أحدنا مكانا ليسجد فيه في غير صلاة
