The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When dinner is served and the prayer is ready, begin with the meal before praying Maghrib, and do not rush through your dinner."
حدثنا هارون بن سعيد الأيلي حدثنا ابن وهب أخبرني عمرو عن ابن شهاب قال حدثني
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إذا قرب العشاء وحضرت الصلاة فابدءوا به قبل أن تصلوا صلاة المغرب ولا تعجلوا عن عشائكم
Muslim narrated it through Abu Khaythama, from Ismail, that is Ibn Abu Uways, from Sulayman, from Zuhri, from Anas, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, that he wore a ring on his right hand with an Abyssinian stone set in it, and he placed its stone toward the inside of his palm. And it is also reported from Uthman and Sayyad, from Talha, from Yunus, similarly.Harun bin Saeed Ayli narrated to us, Ibn Wahb narrated to us, Amr informed me, from Ibn Shihab, who said, Anas bin Malik narrated to me that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said, "When dinner is brought and the time for prayer has come, begin with dinner before you pray Maghrib, and do not rush away from your dinner."
