I came to the Prophet ﷺ in Makkah while he was at al-Abtah in a small red leather tent. Bilal came out with water for his ablution, and some people received a share of it while others received only the spray.Then the Prophet ﷺ came out wearing a red garment, and it is as though I can still see the whiteness of his shins. He performed ablution, and Bilal called the prayer. I kept following Bilal's mouth, turning here and there as he turned right and left, saying, "Come to prayer, come to success."Then a short spear was planted in front of him, and he stepped forward and prayed Dhuhr as two rakahs. Donkeys and dogs would pass in front of him without being prevented. Then he prayed Asr as two rakahs, and he continued praying two rakahs until he returned to Madinah.
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة وزهير بن حرب جميعا عن وكيع قال زهير حدثنا وكيع حدثنا سفيان حدثنا
أتيت النبي ﷺ بمكة وهو بالأبطح في قبة له حمراء من أدم قال فخرج بلال بوضوئه فمن نائل وناضح قال فخرج النبي ﷺ عليه حلة حمراء كأني أنظر إلى بياض ساقيه قال فتوضأ وأذن بلال قال فجعلت أتتبع فاه ها هنا وها هنا يقول يمينا وشمالا يقول حي على الصلاة حي على الفلاح قال ثم ركزت له عنزة فتقدم فصلى الظهر ركعتين يمر بين يديه الحمار والكلب لا يمنع ثم صلى العصر ركعتين ثم لم يزل يصلي ركعتين حتى رجع إلى المدينة
