Hakam reported,

A man took control of Kufa during the time of Ibn al-Ashath, and he ordered Abu Ubayda bin Abdullah to lead the people in prayer. Abu Ubayda would lead them, and when he raised his head from the bowing position, he would stand for as long as it takes to say, "O Allah, our Lord, to You belongs all praise, filling the heavens, filling the earth, and filling whatever else You wish. You are worthy of all praise and glory. None can withhold what You grant, and none can grant what You withhold, and no possessor of fortune can benefit from his fortune against You."Hakam said, I mentioned this to Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Layla, who said, I heard Bara bin Azib say, "The prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, his bowing, his standing after raising his head from bowing, his prostration, and his sitting between the two prostrations were all of nearly equal length."Shuba said, I mentioned this to Amr bin Mura, who said, "I saw Ibn Abu Layla, and his prayer was not like that."
