The Prophet ﷺ used to recite in the noon prayer Surah al-Layl idha yaghsha, and in the afternoon prayer something similar, and in the dawn prayer something longer than that.
و حدثنا محمد بن المثنى حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي حدثنا شعبة عن سماك
كان النبي ﷺ يقرأ في الظهر بالليل إذا يغشى وفي العصر نحو ذلك وفي الصبح أطول من ذلك
