He reported from the Prophet ﷺ this hadith similar to the hadith of Malik, except that he said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'He has succeeded, by his father, if he is truthful,' or, 'He has entered Paradise, by his father, if he is truthful.'"
حدثني يحيى بن أيوب، وقتيبة بن سعيد، جميعا عن إسماعيل بن جعفر، عن أبي سهيل، عن أبيه،
عن النبي ﷺ بهذا الحديث نحو حديث مالك غير أنه قال فقال رسول الله ﷺ أفلح وأبيه إن صدق. أو دخل الجنة وأبيه إن صدق.
