Talha bin Ubaydullah bin Kurayz reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Satan has never been seen more diminished, more driven off, more contemptible, or more enraged than he is on the day of Arafah. That is only because of the mercy he sees descending and the great sins that Allah pardons, except for what he was shown on the day of Badr."Someone asked, "What did he see on the day of Badr, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "He saw Jibreel marshalling the angels."

عن طلحة بن عبيد الله بن كريز

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال ما رئي الشيطان يوما هو فيه أصغر ولا أدحر ولا أحقر ولا أغيظ منه في يوم عرفة وما ذاك إلا لما رأى من تنزل الرحمة وتجاوز الله عن الذنوب العظام إلا ما أري يوم بدر قيل وما رأى يوم بدر يا رسول الله قال أما إنه قد رأى جبريل يزع الملائكة
