Umar bin Khattab addressed the people at Arafah, instructing them in the rites of Hajj. Among the things he told them was this, "When you come to Mina, whoever has stoned the pillar has made lawful for himself everything that was forbidden to the pilgrim, except women and perfume. No one may touch women or perfume until he has performed the circuit of the House."
حدثني يحيى عن مالك عن نافع وعبد الله بن دينار
أن عمر بن الخطاب خطب الناس بعرفة وعلمهم أمر الحج وقال لهم فيما قال إذا جئتم منى فمن رمى الجمرة فقد حل له ما حرم على الحاج إلا النساء والطيب لا يمس أحد نساء ولا طيبا حتى يطوف بالبيت
