The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the four-unit prayer at Mina as two units, and Abu Bakr prayed it at Mina as two units, and Umar bin Khattab prayed it at Mina as two units, and Uthman prayed it at Mina as two units during the first half of his rule, but afterward he prayed it in full.
وحدثني يحيى عن مالك،
أن رسول الله ﷺ صلى الصلاة الرباعية بمنى ركعتين، وأن أبا بكر صلاها بمنى ركعتين، وأن عمر بن الخطاب صلاها بمنى ركعتين، وأن عثمان صلاها بمنى ركعتين شطر إمارته، ثم أتمها بعد.
