The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the Kaaba together with Usama bin Zayd, Bilal bin Rabah, and Uthman bin Talha the doorkeeper. He had the door shut behind him and remained inside for a while.Abdullah said, "When Bilal came out, I asked him what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had done inside."Bilal replied, "He placed one pillar to his right, two pillars to his left, and three pillars behind him, for the House rested on six pillars in those days. Then he prayed."

أن رسول الله ﷺ دخل الكعبة هو وأسامة بن زيد وبلال بن رباح وعثمان بن طلحة الحجبي فأغلقها عليه ومكث فيها قال عبد الله فسألت بلالا حين خرج ما صنع رسول الله ﷺ فقال جعل عمودا عن يمينه وعمودين عن يساره وثلاثة أعمدة وراءه وكان البيت يومئذ على ستة أعمدة ثم صلى
