Whoever is overtaken by Fajr on the night of Muzdalifa without having stood at Arafah has missed the Hajj. And whoever stands at Arafah during the night of Muzdalifa before Fajr breaks has performed the Hajj in time.
وحدثني عن مالك،
من أدركه الفجر من ليلة المزدلفة، ولم يقف بعرفة؛ فقد فاته الحج. ومن وقف بعرفة من ليلة المزدلفة قبل أن يطلع الفجر؛ فقد أدرك الحج.
