The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was cupped on the top of his head while in a state of ihram. He was at that time at Lahy Jamal, a place on the road to Makkah.

أن رسول الله ﷺ احتجم وهو محرم فوق رأسه وهو يومئذ بلحيي جمل مكان بطريق مكة
