Umar bin Khattab reported,

"Keep your Hajj and your Umrah separate, for that makes the Hajj of any one of you more complete and his Umrah more complete, that he perform Umrah outside the months of Hajj."

و حدثني عن مالك عن نافع عن عبد الله بن عمر أن

عمر بن الخطاب قال

افصلوا بين حجكم وعمرتكم فإن ذلك أتم لحج أحدكم وأتم لعمرته أن يعتمر في غير أشهر الحج
