Abdullah bin Umar would stop the talbiyah during Hajj once he reached the sacred precinct, and he would remain silent until he had performed the circuits of the House and gone between Safa and Marwa. Then he would resume the talbiyah until he set out in the morning from Mina to Arafah, and once he set out he would leave off the talbiyah. For Umrah, he would leave off the talbiyah as soon as he entered the sacred precinct.

أن عبد الله بن عمر كان يقطع التلبية في الحج إذا انتهى إلى الحرم حتى يطوف بالبيت وبين الصفا والمروة ثم يلبي حتى يغدو من منى إلى عرفة فإذا غدا ترك التلبية وكان يترك التلبية في العمرة إذا دخل الحرم
