Umar bin Khattab caught the scent of perfume while he was at Shajarah, so he asked, "Who is wearing this perfume?"Muawiya bin Abu Sufyan replied, "It is from me, Commander of the Faithful."Umar said, "From you? By the life of Allah!"Muawiya explained, "Umm Habibah applied it to me, Commander of the Faithful."Umar said, "I insist that you go back and wash it off."
