Abdullah bin Umar reported,

He said, "No one may fast unless he has resolved upon the fast before Fajr."

حدثني يحيى عن مالك، عن نافع،

عن عبد الله بن عمر: أنه كان يقول

لا يصوم إلا من أجمع الصيام قبل الفجر.
