The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was invited to a meal, and bread and meat were brought to him. He ate some of it, then performed ablution and prayed. Afterwards the remainder of that food was brought to him, and he ate some of it, then prayed without performing ablution again.
و حدثني عن مالك
أن رسول الله ﷺ دعي لطعام فقرب إليه خبز ولحم فأكل منه ثم توضأ وصلى ثم أتي بفضل ذلك الطعام فأكل منه ثم صلى ولم يتوضأ
