A funeral procession passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, "One who finds rest, and one from whom rest is found."They asked, "Messenger of Allah, what is meant by one who finds rest and one from whom rest is found?"He answered, "The believing servant finds rest from the toil and hardship of this world and passes on to the mercy of Allah. As for the wicked servant, people find rest from him, and so do the lands, the trees, and the animals."
و حدثني عن مالك عن محمد بن عمرو بن حلحلة الديلي عن معبد بن كعب بن مالك
أن رسول الله ﷺ مر عليه بجنازة فقال مستريح ومستراح منه قالوا يا رسول الله ما المستريح والمستراح منه قال العبد المؤمن يستريح من نصب الدنيا وأذاها إلى رحمة الله والعبد الفاجر يستريح منه العباد والبلاد والشجر والدواب
