He reported that he set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the year of Khaybar. When they reached Sahba, which lies just short of Khaybar, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ halted and prayed Asr. He then called for the provisions, but nothing was brought except parched barley meal. He ordered it to be moistened, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate and we ate. Then he rose for Maghrib, rinsed his mouth, and we rinsed our mouths, and then he prayed without performing wudu.
و حدثني عن مالك عن يحيى بن سعيد عن بشير بن يسار مولى بني حارثة
أنه أخبره أنه خرج مع رسول الله ﷺ عام خيبر حتى إذا كانوا بالصهباء وهي من أدنى خيبر نزل رسول الله ﷺ فصلى العصر ثم دعا بالأزواد فلم يؤت إلا بالسويق فأمر به فثري فأكل رسول الله ﷺ وأكلنا ثم قام إلى المغرب فمضمض ومضمضنا ثم صلى ولم يتوضأ
