Abu Darda said, "Shall I tell you about the best of your deeds, the most exalted in raising your ranks, the purest in the sight of your Sovereign, better for you than giving away gold and silver, and better for you than meeting your enemy so that you strike their necks and they strike yours?"They said, "Yes, tell us."He said, "The remembrance of Allah Most High."Ziyad bin Abu Ziyad said that Abu Abdul-Rahman Muaz bin Jabal said, "No deed performed by a son of Adam saves him from the punishment of Allah more than the remembrance of Allah."
و حدثني عن مالك
قال أبو الدرداء ألا أخبركم بخير أعمالكم وأرفعها في درجاتكم وأزكاها عند مليككم وخير لكم من إعطاء الذهب والورق وخير لكم من أن تلقوا عدوكم فتضربوا أعناقهم ويضربوا أعناقكم قالوا بلى قال ذكر الله تعالى قال زياد بن أبي زياد وقال أبو عبد الرحمن معاذ بن جبل ما عمل ابن آدم من عمل أنجى له من عذاب الله من ذكر الله
