Abu Hurairah reported,

Whenever morning came and the people had been given rain, he would say, "We have been given rain by the opening of Allah's mercy," and then he would recite this verse, "Whatever mercy Allah opens up for people, none can withhold it, and whatever He withholds, none can release it after Him" [Fatir 35:2].

وحدثني عن مالك، أنه بلغه: أن

أبا هريرة كان يقول

إذا أصبح وقد مطر الناس: مطرنا بنوء الفتح، ثم يتلو هذه الآية: ما يفتح الله للناس من رحمة فلا ممسك لها وما يمسك فلا مرسل له من بعده [فاطر: 2].
