Malik reported,

Whenever someone selling goods in the masjid passed by Ata bin Yasar, he would call him over and ask, "What do you have with you? What do you want?"If the man told him that he intended to sell it, Ata would say, "Take yourself off to the market of this world. This here is the market of the Hereafter."

وحدثني

عن مالك، أنه بلغه

أن عطاء بن يسار، كان إذا مر عليه بعض من يبيع في المسجد؛ دعاه فسأله: ماذا معك؟ وماذا تريد؟ فإن أخبره أنه يريد أن يبيعه، قال: عليك بسوق الدنيا، وإنما هذا سوق الآخرة.
